Harry Brook, the stand-in skipper, has been in the form of his life in the longer format of white-ball cricket. The England rising star amassed 312 runs with the bat in the ODI series.

He has been promising with a century and 2 half-centuries at an amazing strike rate of nearly 130. The latest ODI played today saw the English captain batting with dominance yet another time as he hit Zampa to all corners of the ground.

However, despite a stellar innings, Brook once again missed out on a hundred, just like he did miss on a deserving hundred in the last game, which England won to level the series.

Australia dominated the first half of the series with 2 wins, while England came back strongly with two consecutive wins. Brook and Duckett have been the torchbearers of the England innings and, once again, they have stepped up in the final game of the series.

Steven Smith has been given the role to lead the side in the series decider. Earlier, he won the toss and elected to field. The England openers Salt and Duckett started off firmly, as Salt gave them the early momentum, and though Jacks fell, Duckett, alongside the skipper, took the English team forward at jet speed.

They scored runs at a very fast rate, as the English side posted 200+ runs in just half the innings. The momentum shifted after Brook fell to Zampa. He got out after hitting him for consecutive sixes.

The momentum shifted with the skipper’s wicket and more after Duckett went back to the pavilion following his well-made hundred. The Aussie part-time spinners, Travis Head and Glenn Maxwell, both turned the tables for the Aussie team with the ball.

They both picked six wickets between them, as the English team were restricted to less than 100 runs in the next 25 overs, undoubtedly a remarkable comeback from the Aussie bowlers. England ended up getting all out for 309. The Aussies will now have to chase 310 runs to seal the series 3-2 on English soil.
