Indian pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is still doing his magic with the ball. Currently, he is making life difficult in the ongoing UP T20 league. His recent spell for the Lucknow Falcons has been making waves on social media.


Once considered one of India’s finest swing bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has faced a major decline in his career. However, he is still often seen actively playing domestic cricket and also the Indian Premier League for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Even in the opening season, Bhuvneshwar Kumar had emerged as the costliest among players in the UP T20 League. He has picked 7 wickets this season for the Lucknow Falcons, of which two came early on in the recent playoff game.

Considered one of India’s all-time best swing bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, now 34 years old, might consider his international career retirement soon. He is no longer a regular member in the Indian national, with his last red-ball appearance coming in 2018.

Having made his debut back in 2012, he was an eminent part of India’s team that won the Champions Trophy under MS Dhoni, back in 2013. Having featured for India across all three formats, he has picked nearly 300 wickets for India.

Also, he has been one of the finest players in Indian history, with nearly 450+ wickets in domestic matches. Also, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the IPL’s fourth-highest wicket-taker, only behind the likes of DJ Bravo, Piyush Chawla, and Yuzi Chahal, the only players with 200+ wickets in the competition.

He has emerged as IPL’s purple cap holder several times, as he has also picked 299 T20 wickets and is, hence, one of the finest in the format. Bhuvi does not stand much of a chance to feature further for India; however, he might once again be among the retained players for SRH before the upcoming IPL mega-auction in 2025.
