The first season of the Delhi Premier League T20 has already started. The first match of the season was between Rishabh Pant-led Puraani Delhi 6 and the South Delhi Superstars at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. There was a beautiful opening ceremony for the tournament. Stars like Badshah and Sonam Bajwa performed in the ceremony.

The opening ceremony was attended by DDCA’s top management, franchise team owners, players, and staff from all participating men’s and women’s teams. The Delhi superstars like Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli were felicitated after the event for being part of the Indian squad in The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 win. Pant attended it but Kohli’s brother came in place of him as he is spending his time with family in London.

South Delhi have cruised to a win in the opening match against Rishabh Pant-led Puraani Delhi 6. Puraani Delhi scored 193 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their 20 overs. South Delhi chased the target in 19.1 overs with seven wickets in hand.
