Jos Buttler is definitely one of the most dangerous batters on the crease, especially when it comes to T20 cricket.
He can singlehandedly take bowling attacks apart and win matches for his side when he is on song. Therefore, you do need to send him back soon if you need to have any chance of winning the game against his team.
Although West Indies were not able to win the first of the five-match T20I series against England, they did send back Buttler to the pavilion on the very first ball.
On the fourth ball of the seventh over of the England innings, Romario Shepherd bowled a short and outside-off delivery to the England captain. It was a slower delivery and Buttler tried to ramp it up over the third-man region.
Gudakesh Motie, who was stationed slightly wide of the third-man region, hared away to his left and then stuck out a hand to take a gem of a catch. He also kept his balance properly and stayed inches inside the boundary line. It was a catch that was plucked out of thin air to dismiss the English skipper on the very first ball on his return to international cricket.

Meanwhile, England won the toss and elected to field first. The Windies scored 182 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. Nicholas Pooran scored 38 runs off 29 deliveries, Rovman Powell scored 18 runs off 10 balls, Andre Russell scored 30 runs off 10 balls, Shepherd scored 35 runs off 22 deliveries and Motie scored 33 runs off 14 deliveries.
England still managed to win the match by eight wickets. They reached the target in 16.3 overs. Phil Salt remained not out for 103 runs off 54 deliveries and Jacob Bethell remained not out on 58 runs off 36 deliveries. Will Jacks managed to score 17 runs off 10 deliveries.
Salt was chosen as the Player Of The Match and he spoke about his century and the Windies getting the best out of him.
“I’m not sure to be honest, it is the place I’m probably the happiest. Grown up on these surfaces. Really enjoyed playing 50 over cricket but you have to adjust quickly. Need to be really specific in training. (On his off side play) I have tried a few things, opening up my grip to access different parts of the ground. (On Bethell) He is a huge talent, he doesn’t seem like a 21-year old lad. He feels like a guy who’s already played a 100 games, lovely feather to have in our cap,” said Salt at the post-match presentation.
