Indian bowling coach, Morne Morkel, was caught in an interview after the end of day 3 of match simulation practice for team India at WACA Stadium in Perth. Team India has been preparing seriously before the upcoming Birder-Gavaskar Trophy, after the 3-0 defeat to New Zealand at home.

During an interview for BCCI, Indian seamer Mohammaed Siraj was seen funilly interrupting and goofing around bowling coach Morne Morkel during the third day of match simulation practice in Perth. Apart from Morkle, assistant coach Abhishek Nayar was also seen summarizing the practice sessions and mtach simulations of team India.

Morne Morkle stated, “Very happy about how the bowlers went. They summed up conditions pretty well. We are on track for the 22nd, so another three training sessions left. We will sit down this afternoon or tomorrow and start planning, looking at game plans and how we’re going to get the best out of everyone when it is game time on the 22nd.”

Mohammed Siraj brought his signature playful energy to the scene as he lightheartedly interrupted Morne Morkel’s interview ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. With his cheerful demeanor, Siraj made funny gestures and cracked jokes in the background, adding a touch of humor to the otherwise serious conversation.

“This man is a legend. He’s got a big heart and an aggressive mindset; he’s one of the leaders of the attack, and I am very excited to see how he goes on this tour. Last tour, he was the go-to man in tough situations, and we are excited to see more of that senior role coming up in this tour.” he added, acknowledging Mohammed Siraj.

Apart from this, Abhishek Nayar mentioned that before arriving in Australia, Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma discussed the objectives for the three-day preparation period. The primary focus was to ensure that younger players, along with the experienced ones, spent ample time in the center to adapt to and understand the conditions better.

He concluded, “We are playing Test cricket here after four years. So initially, we got the guys to come in, had it like a game where if you got out you got out. We gave them another chance and we felt that second time around, the guys adapted better and understood the conditions better.”
