India A and India B are facing off against each other in the first match of the Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament. The BCCI has selected 4 teams to clash against each other, namely India A, India B, India C, and India D. There are many star players who are participating in the tournament.
The selectors will also select the squad for the Test series against Bangladesh after the end of the first round. So, the players are definitely wanting to put up solid performances in a put to put their name forward.
One such player who is definitely in contention is Sarfaraz Khan. However, he failed to impress as he departed for just 9 off 35 balls on Thursday. Pacer, Avesh Khan dismissed him leg before wicket in the 33rd over of the innings.
The ball hit the seam and came back in. Sarfaraz was late to bring his bat down and was trapped right in front of the stumps. Sarfaraz, who was batting with his brother Musheer Khan, consulted him on whether he should opt for the DRS. He did opt for it but the Hawk-Eye showed that the ball was going to definitely hit the leg stump.

Sarfaraz has been one of the most consistent run-scorers in domestic cricket, over the years. He finally earnt his well deserved call up during the home Test series against England right at the start of the year. He did impress on his debut as he scored a half-century in both the innings of his Test debut against England.
Khan has shown that he is a sensational player of spin bowling on Indian surfaces. So, he will definitely be a crucial player for India in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. The bowling attack of the Bangla tigers will be filled with quality spinners.
Sarfaraz Khan will hope that he gets his chance in the upcoming series as well and gets an opportunity to continue making progress in international cricket.
