Shaheen Shah Afridi finally picked up a wicket in the first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on the 5th ball of the 165th over of the Bangladesh innings. He bowled a full delivery on the stumps and Hasan Mahmud tried to go for a big shot.
However, he got an outside edge and Mohammed Rizwan took a great catch. Afridi finally picked up a wicket after toiling hard. He dedicated his wicket to his newborn baby with a sweet gesture during the celebration.

Pakistan had to really work hard to get Bangladesh dismissed. The Tigers played 167.3 overs in the first innings and scored 565 runs. They took a lead of 117 runs at the end of the first innings. Mushfiqur Rahim was the standout batter for Bangladesh with a 191-run innings and was well supported by Litton Das’ 56-run innings. Mehidy Hasan Miraj scored 77 runs, while opener Shadman Islam played a solid knock of 93 runs.
At the end of Day 4, Pakistan are 23 for the loss of 1 wicket and they trail by 94 runs. They declared at 448 runs for the loss of six wickets in the first innings. Mohammed Rizwan played a sensational knock of 171 runs, while Saud Shakeel was also brilliant with his 141 runs. Besides, Saim Ayub contributed with a 56-runs innings.

Shaheen bowled 33 overs in the first innings and picked up 2 wickets by giving away 88 runs. Naseem Shah picked up 3 wickets after bowling 27.3 overs. Khurram Shahzad picked up 2 wickets after bowling 29 overs. Mohammad Ali scalped 2 wickets after bowling 1 over. Saim Ayub managed to scalp a wicket in his 7 over spell. It was a tough outing for the Pakistan bowlers on a seemingly docile wicket.
Bangladesh definitely hold a slender advantage going into the 5th day. However, this match is seemingly going to be a draw unless Pakistan has a really bad collapse on the final day of the Test match.
