Indian top-order batter Shubman Gill got injured during the match simulation at the WACA ground in Perth. While fielding, he injured his left thumb and missed the first Test match between India and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

India dominated the home side with a commanding performance, showcasing exceptional skill in all departments of the game. Their bowlers dismantled the opposition’s batting lineup, while the batters set the target high with ease, leaving no room for a comeback. They defeated the Australians by a margin of 295 runs.

Captain Rohit Sharma, who missed the first Test due to personal reasons, is set to make his return to the side for the second Test in Adelaide. His comeback is expected to provide a significant boost to the team’s morale and batting strength, as his leadership and experience will be crucial in this high-stakes encounter.

Indian batter Shubman Gill has also recovered from his injury and is expected to be part of India’s squad for the next Border-Gavaskar Trophy game in Adelaide. His return is likely to bolster India’s batting lineup, as he brings both stability and aggression to the top order. Fans are eager to see him back in action on the big stage.

Gill opened up on his injury and recovery before the second test match. He stated,

“Any ball when it hits the bat, especially in the middle of the bat. The feeling that you get, that’s the feeling that I play for.”

“I was just trying to get a feel, to be honest, see how the injury is reacting, if there is any kind of jardness or any kind of soreness with me playing, but it actually went much better than I expected and Kamlesh bhai expected, and I’m very happy with that.” he added.

The batter has been seen working hard in the nets, focusing on honing his technique and timing ahead of the crucial game. His intense practice sessions reflect his determination to perform at his best and make a significant impact in the upcoming Test match.
