Indian cricketers, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant, along with head coach, Gautam Gambhir were in jovial mood at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The trio was seen enjoying a buggy ride at the airport as they were ready to board their flight for Kanpur to take part in the second Test match.

In a video, which has been doing the rounds on social media, Virat Kohli and Gambhir were involved in a conversation, while Pant was attentively listening to the conversation between the two stalwarts.

Here’s a look at the video:

Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli’s relationship has come a long way

Gambhir and Kohli have shared a mixed relationship, involving both happy and sad moments. They have played with each other for a long time and shared some memorable partnerships, in the past.

They had a monumental partnership in the final of the ODI World Cup 2011, that stabilized the Indian innings after the initial jitters. Gambhir also dedicated his Man of the Match award after Virat Kohli’s first hundred.

However, they did have some verbal confrontations and fights during the Indian Premier League. But the two have kept all these behind and have jelled very well in the Indian team for the success. They participated in an interview organized by BCCI, ahead of the first Test match against Bangladesh in Chennai. They held a friendly conversation where each of them talked good things about one another.

Here’s what Gambhir, recently, talked about his relationship with Virat Kohli:

“Good for the TRP, but my relationship is not public. What kind of relationship do I share with Virat Kohli, I think it is between two mature individuals. On the field, everyone has got the right to fight for their own team, for their own jersey, and want to come back in a winning dressing room. But, at the moment, I think you are representing India and representing 140 crore Indians and I am sure we are going to be on the same page and try and make India proud.”

Meanwhile, the second Test between India and Bangladesh is scheduled to take place from 27th September to 1st October 2024 in Kanpur.
