Virat Kohli, the star Indian batter, has always been aggressive on the field right from the start of his career. He wears his heart on his sleeves and never shied away from any confrontation. Whether he is batting or fielding, he always loves to be in the heat of the contest and never takes a back step in verbal duels.
He has been infamous for his aggressive sendoffs and has faced the wrath of the match referees many times. One such instance was when the run machine was fined in the Deodhar Trophy for his aggressive celebration.
It was a Deodhar Trophy game in 2009 when Kohli was pretty much raw and was always in the heat of the battles on the field. Kohli was playing for the North Zone and he was fined 50 percent of his match fee for getting involved him in an unnecessary aggression.
Kohli got himself involved in a verbal altercation with opposition bowler Dhiraj Goswami after he got him out for just 7 runs. Goswami was just given a warning but Kohli was punished with a fine on his match fees.

Times have changed, however. Kohli has now become more matured and calm as a person. There is a stark difference in the attitude of the run machine. It has lot to do with the experience and the different phases of success and failures that he has seen in his international career.
Meanwhile, Kohli will be back for the first Test against Bangladesh starting from September 19 in Chennai. He has already reached Chennai directly from London. It marks his return in red ball cricket after he missed the last home Test series against England earlier this year due to the birth of his son. He will be hoping to see another peak in his Test career.
