Former Indian legspinner Pravin Tambe, who has been a part of various global T20 leagues, has been appointed as the new bowling coach for the Gujarat Giants in WPL 2025. The veteran bowler can become a key asset in the management for changing the fortunes of the side. His experience can be a key aspect for the franchise.

The legspinner made his Indian Premier League debut for the Rajasthan Royals at the age of 41, scripting history as one of the oldest players to debut in the league, showcasing that age is just a number in the pursuit of passion and excellence. Apart from this, he has been a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Lions.

Pravim Tambe made his T20 debut in the Indian Premier League in May 2013. Over his IPL career, he played 33 matches, taking 28 wickets with an impressive economy rate. His journey inspired many, as he defied age and conventional norms to make a mark in one of the world’s most competitive T20 leagues.

The Giants endured a tough run, finishing at the bottom of the standings among the five teams in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Despite their struggles, they remain determined to regroup and come back stronger in the upcoming campaigns. Pravin’s coaching experience with the Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants will help the Gujarat Giants.
