Yograj Singh, the father of former India all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh, has said that he will not forgive the former Indian captain MS Dhoni for destroying the career of his son. He went on to say that he has never forgiven anyone who has done wrong to him and he feels that Dhoni has done significant damage to the backend of Yuvraj’s career.
“I won’t forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life—first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids,” Yograj Singh said in a recent interview.

Yograj also went on to say that Yuvraj Singh could have played for India for 5-6 years more but Dhoni did not allow it to happen. He cited examples of Gauatam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag for calling Yuvraj Singh irreplaceable in Indian cricket.
Yuvraj’s father also wants the Indian government to award Yuvraj with Bharat Ratna award for playing the World Cup with cancer.

“That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more. I dare everyone to give birth to a son like Yuvraj. Even Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said in the past that there won’t be another Yuvraj Singh. India should award him the Bharat Ratna for playing with cancer and winning the World Cup for the country.” he added.
Yuvraj Singh has been an inspirational player for India, and has had huge contributions in India’s win in the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ICC ODI World Cup in 2011. Singh played 304 ODIs, scoring 8701 runs at an average of 36.5 and strike rate of 87.7 with 14 centuries and 52 half-centuries. He played 58 T20Is, scoring 1117 runs at a strike rate of 136.4. Besides, he was also part of 40 Test matches. He scored 1900 runs at 33.9 average with 3 centuries and 11 half-centuries.
